Kenneth M. Persson

Biography

Kenneth är född i Skivarp på Söderslätt 1964 och började efter gymnasium och värnplikt läsa kemiteknik på LTH 1985 följt av forskarstudier i ämnet livsmedelsteknik. Efter disputation 1994 har han arbetat i näringslivet som projektingenjör och konsult, senast på SWECO AB i Malmö. Intresset för vattenforskning har funnits hela tiden. Han blev oavlönad docent 2000 vid LTH, adjungerad professor i teknisk vattenresurslära 2003 vid LTH och sedan 2010 professor i detsamma. På våren 2010 fick han erbjudandet att sätta igång en helt ny forskningsavdelning i det kommunägda Sydvatten AB, där frågorna nu slussats in i Sweden Water Research sedan januari 2014. Han delar sin tid mellan Sydvatten och LTH. Forskningsintresset är särskilt inriktat på vattenberedningsmetoder och vattenkvalitetsfrågor. Vattnet är det viktigaste livsmedlet.
