Welcome dr Alfredo Gonzalez-Perez

Alfredo is currently working as a researcher at Sweden Water Research AB with new advanced materials for the water industry.

He is mainly interested in different techniques for new metamaterials characterization including light scattering, small angle x-ray scattering (SAXS) and neutron scattering. Additionally he is a visiting researcher at the Niels Bohr Institute (University of Copenhagen) and at the Division of Water Resources Engineering (Lund University).

Alfredo has worked for more than 15 years as a researcher at several universities and research institutes, in Spain, France, Denmark and Sweden, within the broad research areas of biophysics and soft condensed matter. More recently he has been working in the development of new biomimetic polymeric membranes for water purification using reverse osmosis and other materials-water oriented topics. He is also interested in the uses of constructed wetlands for water management and pollutant removal, and in the development of new environmental remediation techniques.
