The delivery of the pilot plant is delayed
In April 2022, an agreement was signed with the Danish company Aquagreen for the delivery of a steam dryer and a pyrolyser with associated equipment to Testbed Ellinge. According to the preliminary timetable then, the pilot would start in December 2022. The start of operation is now expected to take place in August 2023.
The design of the facility has taken significantly longer than expected. Partly due to a lack of personnel at Aquagreen because of the start-up of the full-scale plant at Fårevejle Wastewater Treatment Plant and partly due to adjustments to the design with regard to safety aspects that emerged at full-scale.
Construction on site at the Ellinge Wastewater Treatment Plant is in ful swing. The concrete slab for the tent is cast and the tent is being assembled. By mid-March, we expect all electrical and plumbing required to operate the pilot to be complete.
