Workshop on system analysis of sludge biochar systems
On Monday, 25 September, Testbed Ellinge organised a digital workshop on system analysis of sludge biochar systems. Four different research groups, from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden respectively, participated.
The following researchers participated:
• Maja Karolina Rydgård, Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences, University of Copenhagen
• Lisa Zakrisson, Cecilia Sundberg and Harry Tibbetts, Department of Energy and Technology, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU)
• Marjorie Morales, Department of Energy and Process Engineering, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)
• Aida Hosseinian, Water, Energy and Environmental Engineering unit, University of Oulu
The work package leader for System Analysis in the Testbed Ellinge project, Solveig Johannesdottir at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, also participated, as did David Gustavsson, project manager for Testbed Ellinge.
All researchers presented their studies, and it turned out that the vast majority are very close to publishing their results shortly. We compared, among other things, system boundaries, functional units, reference systems and the most significant parameters. We hope the researchers can present their final results at our second sludge biochar conference next year.
